JOURNAL "BULLETIN OF ABAI KAZAKH NATIONAL PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Journal "Bulletin of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University ‘The special pedagogics”  was founded in 2001. The founder and publisher of the journal are Abai  Kazakh National Pedogogical University. The journal has developed and approved cover and title pages indicating the university, the output data of the issue, ISSN, eISSN, the composition of the editorial board, editorial policy, publication ethics and website. 

The journal is published 4 times a year.

The journal is registered with the Ministry of Culture and Information as a "scientific and methodological publication on topical issues of special education of persons with special educational needs" Reg. Certificate dated May 8, 2009, № 10107 Zh

The journal is indexed by the Kazakhstani Citation Database of JSC "National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise" (NCSTE)

The editorial board of the journal includes leading Kazakh and foreign scientists.

The journal follows the policy of information openness and accessibility of authors' publications, articles are published on the journal's website in three languages in full-text access.

Purposes and objectives of the journal

The purpose of the journal is to publish and discuss the results of scientific research of a fundamental and applied nature in the field of special pedagogy and inclusive education, designated in regulatory documents as strategic, as well as current problems and issues in the field of study, education and development of children with special educational needs.

The objectives of the journal:

  • Covering of new scientific results of fundamental, applied, innovative research conducted in different regions of Kazakhstan and abroad in the field of inclusive education and special pedagogy in three languages-Kazakh, Russian, English;
  • Accessibility and discussion of the results of scientific researches, international and domestic  groups of scientists – special educators, defectologists, psychologists, social pedagogics, teachers, practitioners  in their cooperation and collaboration; 
  • Reflection of the results of scientific researches of Kazakhstani and foreign authors in the world educational community by including the journal in the world, international databases of journals and articles;
  • Creating an environment of openness and accessibility to discuss the results of scientific researches of young scientists- – undergraduates, PhD students;

 Thematic directions of the journal

The materials of the journal cover a wide range of problems in the field of special pedagogy and the development of inclusive education – scientific reviews, the results of theoretical and practical research, priority areas for the development of national defectology. These are pedagogical and psychological studies aimed at studying the features and identifying the possibilities of correctional assistance to a variety of children – with disorders of the emotional and volitional sphere, vision, hearing and speech, intelligence, with autism, with complex disorders at all stages of their mental and social development. Articles are published in the following sections of pedagogy and problems of education: 

  • Topical issues of special and inclusive education
  • Study of children with special educational needs.
  • Education and upbringing of children with special educational needs.

* The author(s) of the manuscript approved for publication in the journal are obliged to pay for publication in accordance with the approved price list for publication in the scientific journals of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. According to the approved price list,  payment for the publication of the article is 3500 tenge for undergraduates, Doctoral students, teaching staff of the Abai KazNPU University and  5000 tenge to other authors. A receipt for payment for publication in pdf format is sent by the author(s) to the e-mail address of the editorial office of the journal.
